Minister Fitzgerald launches public consultation on improving the lives of children and young people

Fine Gael Wicklow TD, Simon Harris, has asked members of the public to feed their experiences into the new public consultation on the Children & Young People’s Policy Framework, which will run until Friday, 6 July. The framework will establish the Government’s priorities for children and young people over the next five years.

Deputy Harris said, “This consultation offers a really important opportunity to identify the issues affecting young people, and ensure they are addressed effectively. The past ten years have been a time of great change in our county, and our country, and it is important these changes and their impact on young people, are reflected in the final policy.”

“Children, young people and parents, as well and practitioners and organisations working with young people, are invited to share their views online at www.dcya.gov.ie/Consultation-2012
